Entrance

The entrance hall, also called the foyer, refers to the transitional space between the entrance of a building and the main hall. In traditional East Asian architecture, it embodies the concept of 'concealment.' The foyer serves as a buffer between the outside and the inside, creating a certain separation between the two.

In many cases, hallways don’t have windows, so they need bright lighting at night. The flow determines the layout, and the more important the matter, the more you start with simplicity. Light can guide the space visually. Beyond the general background lighting, facade lighting can effectively highlight furniture and wall art, showing the homeowner’s taste. Sometimes, good mirror lighting should also be considered so that anyone leaving the house can quickly check their appearance.
